Kombes Pol Gatot explained, regarding the Emergency PPKM which will end on July 20, there has been no official decision from the government or the Minister explaining if the PPKM will be extended.
"There are rumors that PPKM will be extended until August 2, that's not true because there has been no official statement from the government," said Kombes Gatot, Wednesday (14/7/2021).
Kombes Gatot emphasized that during the Emergency PPKM mass, the Police also carried out the Safe Nusa II operation (OPS). This ops will end on August 2, 2021.
"So it's not PPKM which ends on August 2, but Ops Aman Nusa II," said Kombes Gatot.
The East Java Regional Police are very serious in implementing the Emergency PPKM in their area.
The East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Nico Afinta also frequently checks the blocking points, such as the Waru roundabout, and conducts evaluations, in order to save the community in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) number 16 of 2021.
