East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta explained that today together with the Provincial Secretary, Pangdam V Brawijaya, Pangkoarmada and Danlanud. Together carried out the security activities of the 31st HMI congress in Surabaya which had been completed and were running smoothly.
"Today I, together with the regional commander and the provincial secretary. Looking at the 31st HMI congress in the city of Surabaya. Alhamdulillah, this activity was safe and conducive until the last day," explained the Head of East Java Regional Police, Inspector General Nico Afinta, while observing the HMI congress at the Islamic Center, Thursday (25/3/2021) afternoon.
The Head of East Java Regional Police added, the implementation of security together with the East Java Forkopimda, in order to make the 31st HMI congress succeed. There are two things that we secure, namely the congress inside the Islamic Center building and around 1,303 sympathizers who come from Makassar.

For its own security, the Police (Polda Jatim) for almost a week. In collaboration with the previous Chairman of the HMI for the 2019-2021 period and the Chair of the HMI congress committee. So that security and these activities go well.
HMI (Islamic Student Association) itself is an organization that produces national leaders. And today also has a new chairman.
"This HMI organization is a good organization, which produces state leaders. Those born from the HMI organization," explained the Kapolda.
We encourage this organization to run well in the future, and be able to synergize with the Government and other communities to build the Indonesian nation, especially in East Java.

Today is the last HMI congress agenda which has been elected a new chairman, namely, Raihan Ariyatama was elected as the General Chair of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) Executive Board for the period 2021-2023.
