"We together with the Forkopimda of Sumenep Regency will continue to coordinate and cooperate closely to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 in Sumenep Regency. Therefore, all animal markets in Sumenep Regency are temporarily closed because they invite large crowds," he said.
For this reason, continued Police Chief AKBP Rahman, his party together with Forkopimda Sumenep will continue to intensify operations during the Emergency PPKM to disperse which invites crowds amid the soaring Covid-19 cases.
"Whatever it is, if we invite a crowd, we will disband and we will temporarily close it, like the Animal Market in Sumenep Regency," he said.
He continued, "The reason for the closure of the animal market is because it is a gathering place for traders and buyers as well as preparedness to protect public safety and health in order to break the chain of spread of COVID-19," he said.
The Police Chief hopes that traders and buyers can understand this kind of emergency. Even so, his party also said that sales transactions could still be done personally or online via HP.
