On this occasion, the Head of the East Java Regional Police thanked the Gresik Regency government for their support in the construction of the new Mapolres, and it is hoped that in the next stage of development the synergy and support of the Gresik Regency government will continue to be well established.
Regarding the typology of Gresik Polres to become Polresta, the East Java Regional Police Chief said this was a future plan, because considering the size of the area, the population and then the disruption of social and security services, it seems appropriate, Gresik Polres to become City Police.
"This will be proposed to the National Police Headquarters, hopefully it can be approved so that it improves performance. With the typology of increasing, of course it will increase the budget, add members, the number of polsek and Bhabinkamtibmas which aim to serve the community." This inauguration is also a sign that community services have also moved to the new Gresik Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the old Gresik Police Headquarters will be used by the Gresik City Police Sector (Polsek).
