Dozens of Persons with Disabilities in Bondowoso Participate in Independent Vaccination

BONDOWOSO - Dozens of people with disabilities participated in the independent vaccination, at the Bondowoso Police Headquarters, Tuesday (10/8/2021).

 They participated in the vaccination movement which was held to celebrate the 76th Independence Day (HUT) of the Republic of Indonesia by the local Resort Police.

 In this activity in collaboration with the ranks of the district government, social assistance is also provided for each person with disabilities.

 According to Bondowoso Police Chief AKBP Herman Priyanto, people with disabilities have the same right to be vaccinated.

 That's why in vaccination using the Sinofharm vaccine, his party prioritizes people with disabilities.

 "Today there are about 75 recorded," he said.

 Although the number of people with disabilities in Bondowoso reaches hundreds. However, most still do not meet the age requirement to be vaccinated.

 "Some are difficult to mobilize. So later we will pick up the ball with friends from the Health Office, to go to Puskesmas-Pukesmas," he said.

 He admitted that the simultaneous vaccination in all ranks of the East Java Police was carried out as one of the strategies in accelerating vaccination.

 So that the goal of establishing herd immunity can be achieved.

 "Once again, this aims to form herd immunity," he said.

 Police Chief Herman explained that so far his party has also participated in vaccinating at various points. In fact, door-to-door vaccinations have also been carried out.

 Because indeed all lines are trying to succeed in accelerating this vaccination.

 "Hopefully the vaccination achievement will continue to increase," he said.

 Deputy Regent Irwan Bachtiar Rahmat explained, this is a police program throughout East Java for all Polres.

 Namely vaccination targeting people with disabilities in the framework of red and white.

 "Including ODGJ will be vaccinated as well," he explained.

 Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Social Service, Anisatul Hamidah, explained that the number of disabled people in Bondowoso reached hundreds. However, the majority of them are under the age of 12.

 "We are ready to support vaccination in Bondowoso," he concluded.
