TNI Commander and National Police Chief Socialize Mobile Vaccines and Handover Social Assistance Directly to Jakarta Residents

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit went directly to settlements or Slum Area, to hand over PPKM Level 4 social assistance (bansos) to Jakarta residents, Thursday (22/7/2021). The first visit was made to the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta.

 On that occasion, the two of them directly handed over social assistance from the Government of Indonesia, to people whose economies were affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. They both also interacted with the people who received the assistance.

 "Hopefully this helps, this is to help with daily needs," said Sigit starting his interaction with one of the residents.

 Sigit explained that the social assistance came from the Indonesian government which was channeled through the TNI-Polri. This is a manifestation of the presence of the State in society. At the same time, it is a form of government responsibility to people affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

 "The distribution of social assistance is the Government's commitment to the policies taken as well as a manifestation of the presence of the state in the midst of society," said Sigit

 When distributing the social assistance, the former Banten Police Chief also socialized to the people who had been vaccinated to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols (prokes).

 "It's been vaccinated, yes. Keep wearing a mask. If there is a relative who needs a mask, thank you. Thank you," said Sigit to residents who received social assistance.

 "Thank you very much, sir, very helpful," answered one resident.

 Similarly, the TNI Commander also reminded the public to continue to apply daily health protocols, even though vaccines have been carried out.

 "Keep wearing a mask, yes, there are groceries, take care of your health," said the Commander when interacting with other residents.

 The residents who received the social assistance symbols included Ali Muskon (36), an online motorcycle taxi driver who had to be stopped due to being affected by PPKM, and Saiful Anwar (44) a former travel hotel employee who is currently being laid off.

 Then, Ending Samsudin (52) a coffee trader, Suwandi who is an online motorcycle taxi and was stopped due to PPKM. In this provision, all residents have had an antigen swab done with non-reactive results, then also apply strict health protocols.

 After providing the social assistance directly, the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief continued their review at SDN Duri Pulo, Gambir, Central Jakarta. They saw firsthand the vaccination around the TNI-Polri.

 This mobile vaccination is a pick-up program using a vaccine car to visit densely populated areas and locations in the Jakarta area. Currently, there are 62 mobile vaccine cars available. The vaccination target is 300 people per day with the target population being the general public and adolescents aged 12-18 years.

 "We have 62 units of vaccination cars in DKI Jakarta to reach areas, making it easier for the public to access," said the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.

 In the densely populated residential area of ​​Duri Pulo, the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief also handed over social assistance to the community. Sigit ensured that all affected residents would receive social assistance from the government.

 "This is to help mother, you can get all of them. In it there is a mask, the vaccine is ready, keep wearing the mask to maintain your health," Sigit said to residents while distributing social assistance to the three family members

 Not only that, the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces and the National Police Chief as well as the Head of BNPB visited the Petamburan Flat, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. They carried out mobile vaccination socialization and handed over government social assistance to people in densely populated settlements.

 Sigit conveyed the socialization of the vaccination program to the public. Later, to pursue the creation of Herd Immunity in the Capital City area, mobile vaccines will be carried out in line with vaccination activities that have been running so far, such as mass vaccination and vaccine booths.

 "Our hope is that how we can catch up with Herd Immunity, especially in Jakarta, will soon be formed," said Sigit in Petamburan.

 Meanwhile, Sigit emphasized to the people whose economic activities were disrupted due to the PPKM policy, the government would continue to provide social assistance through the TNI-Polri.

 Sigit appealed to the public to remain calm and do not hesitate to inform Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibas when the stock of social assistance runs out. Later, the TNI and Polri will again send aid packages to ease the burden on the affected communities.

 "We hope this can help, from the Government, of course, from the Government we hope to ease the burden of the affected people. And don't worry the Government will pay attention to the community," said Sigit

 For information, it was recorded that during the Emergency PPKM and Level 4 PPKM, the National Police had distributed 600,294 food packages and 3,181,000 kg or 3,181 tons of rice.
