TNI Commander and National Police Chief Encourage Semarang Residents Who Are In Independent Isolation

JAKARTA - The TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo gave encouragement to residents who were undergoing Independent Isolation (Isoman), due to exposure to the corona virus.

This attention was given by the Commander and Chief of Police when holding virtual interactions with isoman patients while reviewing the Micro PPKM Command Post in Tembalang District, Semarang, Central Java, Friday (16/7/2021).

In the interaction, Sigit asked one of the residents named Tri. He asked whether during the isolation he had received medication or not.

"Didn't you get the medicine package already?" Sigit asked.

"Yes, sir," said Tri in response to the Chief of Police's question.

Sigit added that if an isoman patient runs out or lacks medicine, he or she should immediately report to Babinsa so that the drug package prepared by the government will be sent back.

In addition, Sigit also asked whether the self-isolated patients had received social assistance or not. According to Sigit, for social assistance, residents can also contact Bhabinkamtibmas or Babinsa to get the aid package.

"After reporting it to Babinsa again to be sent. After this, it will be immediately sent for needs. If it runs out, it will be sent again," said Sigit.

In addition to reviewing the Micro PPKM Command Post, the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief also reviewed the mass vaccination at Holy Stadium, Semarang, Central Java. He reminded that until now the transmission rate of Covid-19 is still high.

For this reason, three steps to control the Covid-19 pandemic, namely discipline enforcement of the Health Protocol, acceleration of vaccines to the implementation of Emergency PPKM must go hand in hand.

"These three things must be done simultaneously because we have seen that the number (of Covid-19 transmission) continues to be high," he said.

Regarding vaccination, Sigit emphasized that his party together with the TNI continue to mobilize all available resources to hold mass vaccinations as an effort to accelerate herd immunity.

On that occasion, he invited community social groups, activists or fellow students who have the resources and abilities in the health sector to collaborate with the TNI-Polri to hold mass vaccinations.

"This will be better in the context of accelerating vaccination acceleration activities," said the former Banten Police Chief.

The former Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit asked the public to understand and comply with the Emergency PPKM as the government's effort to control Covid-19. He apologized if the policy disrupted activities, but this must be taken as a step to save the public from exposure to the corona virus or Covid-19.

"Please convey this to our families, maybe they don't understand that the government is doing all this to maintain public safety," said Sigit.

TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto added, in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, commitment from all elements of society is needed without exception. At least, Hadi said the strategy in dealing with this invisible enemy, namely being defensive by using a mask, obeying 3M and vaccines.

“Vaccination to provide immunity. But remember, after the vaccine, we still wear masks and we must not be careless," concluded Hadi.
