"Through the door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination, it is hoped that it can accelerate the formation of herd immunity in the midst of a pandemic. Together with the three pillars, we will continue to collect data and visit people's homes in villages or villages to be vaccinated," said Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Pol. Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, Wednesday (14/7/2021) morning while checking door-to-door Covid-19 vaccinations in Bluru Kidul Village, Sidoarjo.
It is also hoped that through this door to door vaccination, there will be an even distribution and acceleration of the community in getting vaccine injections. Therefore, the Sidoarjo Police are seeking to have 200 doses of vaccine per day in the door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination program.
"We invite the village to work together with the bhabinkamtibmas and babinsa to provide data on residents in their area who have not received the vaccine, so that through this program we can support the achievement of the Sidoarjo Police's target of 1,000 doses of vaccine per day," he added.
The Sidoarjo Police Chief also appealed to residents, even though they have been injected with vaccines, to continue to comply with health protocols, maintain health and comply with regulations imposed by the government, namely the emergency PPKM in handling Covid-19.
Regarding the door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination held by the Sidoarjo Police, the Head of Buru Kidul Village Tri Prastiyono thanked the Sidoarjo Police and their staff for the acceleration of vaccination for the community.
“House-to-house Covid-19 vaccination is a good program for the National Police. So that people don't need to flock to the vaccine location, they just need to stay at home the vaccine officer has arrived. Hopefully we are all healthy and the pandemic will end soon," he said.
In addition to providing vaccine injections door to door, the Sidoarjo Police Chief along with the main officials at the location also handed over food packages and Bhakti Bhayangkara masks for the country for residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic
