During the review, Arief said that the existence of the partition was not only a matter of limiting the public but also making the public aware of the Covid-19 which is currently on the rise.
"We want to know what the emergency PPKM really is. So the main thing is not the isolation but how the community is aware, if you don't need to leave the house, that's why the patterns are carried out in this way," he explained.
Arief said, with the isolation, it was part of urging the public to stay at home and not do much outside activities.
"So the isolation, movement restrictions, interaction restrictions are not meant to make people miserable, but to keep them from being exposed to Covid-19," said Arief.
According to him, the success of the implementation of Emergency PPKM, is not only the work carried out by the government, the TNI and the National Police, but the whole community also complies with health protocols.
"So that educational efforts are carried out, we also carry out prevention efforts, as well as legal action efforts, various kinds of violations of provisions. So everyone needs awareness," he said.
Before reviewing in Surabaya, first review in Sidoarjo. While in Surabaya, he visited several locations including, the border at Waru, Surabaya-Sidoarjo, Sunan Ampel religious tourism and Suramadu.
"Everything has complied with the provisions of the emergency PPKM," he concluded.
