The Jombang Police Chief said, as many as 100 food packages were immediately distributed to Ojol drivers, both Gojek and Grab, who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
"Today we are again distributing assistance in the form of basic necessities to online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol) who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said AKBP Agung Setyo Nugroho to reporters after distributing social assistance to the Ojol community at the Jombang Police Traffic Unit office, Thursday (22/7). /2021).
Still, said the Jombang Police Chief, the distribution of this assistance is to help ease the burden on the community affected by the implementation of PPKM Darurut. Because, it is undeniable that so far many residents have decreased their income due to the implementation of emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM).
"Hopefully this social assistance in the form of basic food packages can help ease the burden of fellow Ojek Online (Ojol) drivers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Emergency PPKM rules," he said
The Jombang Police Chief appealed that the online motorcycle taxi community could work together to be a pioneer in implementing health protocols as an effort to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. It is hoped that all people must continue to comply with the government's recommendations, one of which is by complying with the 5 M, namely, wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, reducing mobility and staying away from crowds," he concluded.
