Emergency PPKM, National Police Chief Holds Continued Nusa II Safe Operation

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has issued a Telegram Letter (STR) regarding the Safe Operation Nusa II for the Advanced Covid-19 Handling. This follows up on the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali.

 The telegram numbered STR/577/VII/OPS.2./2021 as of (2/7/2021) signed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. This Advanced Nusa II Safe Operation will take effect tonight at 00.00 WIB.

 "The telegram letter from the National Police Chief has been issued STR/577/VII/OPS.2./2021 as of (2/7/2021). The centralized operation of the Advanced Safe Nusa II password will take effect tonight, July 3 and has been declared valid," said the Head of the Division. Police Public Relations Inspector General Argo Yuwono reads the message from the National Police Chief at the Rutapama Building, South Jakarta, Friday (2/7/2021).

 Argo said that in the Advanced Nusa II Safe Operation there were seven task forces (tasks). Among them are the detection task force, the binmas task force, the health protocol compliance task force and vaccination security.

 Then, the Bayankes task force, the vaccine escort task force, the law enforcement task force and the public relations task force.

 This Advanced Safe Nusa II Operation, said Argo, is a follow-up to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 15 of 2021 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Emergency Community Activities for Covid-19 in the Java and Bali Regions.

 In point six it is stated that the Governor, Regent, and Mayor are fully supported by the TNI, Polri, and the Prosecutor's Office in coordinating and supervising the implementation of the Covid-19 Emergency PPKM.

 "The follow-up to what has been done by the Police regarding the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding PPKM Darudat Covid-19 Java and Bali. With the sixth point, the police made the Advanced Safe Operation Nusa II, previously there were also related to Covid-19, there used to be 5 task forces, now there are 7 operational task forces. that," said Argo.

 According to Argo, in the implementation of the Advanced Safe Operation Nusa II, his party will involve 21,168 personnel from the Java Police and the Bali Police.

 "This operation is manned by 21,168 personnel, starting from the Regional Police in Java and Bali, there are Polda Metro Jaya, Central Java, DIY, East Java, and Polda Bali," said Argo.

 In addition, Argo said that, to support the Government of Indonesia's policy regarding Emergency PPKM, the police will later conduct barriers in district/city lines for random sampling of antigen swabs.

 "Besides PPKM Micro at the RT/RW level, we also have district and city routes that we block with random sampling of antigen swabs," said Argo.

 Insulation to conduct random sampling of antigen swabs will also be carried out at entrances and exits between cities and provinces, toll gates, rest areas, stations, airports, ports.

 "Of course, we will do this together with the TNI and the Regional Government. We will later support every activity that is already in the Ministry of Home Affairs number 15 in 2021, what is prohibited, what is allowed in the instruction. That's roughly," Argo concluded.
