During the meeting, the newly appointed Police Chief embraced the media and asked for support so that they could share a vision and mission with the journalists.
Through this opportunity, the Police Chief advised the media to help the government in handling Covid-19, especially in Probolinggo Regency.
"We hope that the media can help by providing information as well as synergizing and participating in educating the public regarding Covid-19," he said.
The Police Chief added that starting tomorrow PPKM in the Probolinggo Regency area will be implemented.
"Probolinggo Regency is currently still in the yellow zone, but we are surrounded by several areas which are currently in the red and orange zones," he explained.
Therefore, Emergency PPKM will be implemented to take early prevention.
"Places of worship, entertainment venues will be temporarily closed. Shopping centers and activities will be restricted as well as online schools," he said.
He also made efforts to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
"To break the chain of transmission of Covid-19, there are two ways that must be met. Namely, the correct application of 5M and vaccination, the Resort Police itself has held a Precision Vaccine Outlet and has prepared around 15,000 doses," he said.
