The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, revealed that the training was carried out for Polri personnel and elements of the community who are police partners.
"The participants were 2,284 people, with details of Senkom Volunteers 530, PMJ NCO 270, Lido Steel SPN 552, West Java Steel SPN 539, Banten SPN Steel 192 and Central Java SPN Steel 201," said Argo in his written statement, Jakarta , Tuesday (29/6/2021).
According to Argo, the training of thousands of people as tracers is a form of responsibility and obligation of all Bhayangkara Corps personnel to the community in carrying out their duties in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
"Where this is a form of charity and our responsibility to the community. Especially as members of the National Police it is our obligation to carry out this," said Argo.
Therefore, Argo emphasized, the police must be able to work professionally and understand their duties as tracers. In addition, Argo appealed to his staff to take care of themselves while on duty.
"So that colleagues fully understand what must be done. The first is to take care of ourselves, then open our eyes and ears, and record anyone who is confirmed positive, don't be passive," said Argo.
Argo also expressed his appreciation to the community elements of police partners for being willing to participate and play an active role as a tracer.
"To always take the right and proactive steps but still maintain proper health protocols," Argo concluded.
