COVID-19 Cases Soar in a Week, Mass Disinfection Held in Mojokerto

Mojokerto- In addition to tightening health protocols (prokes) to the RT level, the Mojokerto Regency COVID-19 Task Force also held a mass disinfection. The spraying of disinfectant liquid was held for one week to stop the spread of the Corona virus which was increasing.

 One of the disinfection targets is Mojosari District. The capital city of Mojokerto Regency is one of 6 districts in the orange zone for the spread of COVID-19. The Corona virus has infected 172 Mojosari residents. Consisting of 4 active cases, 1 patient died and 167 patients recovered.

 The spraying of the disinfectant liquid was directly led by the Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Dony Alexander, Regent Ikfina Fahmawati, Dandim 0815 Lieutenant Colonel Inf Dwi Mawan Sutanto and Kajari Gaos Wicaksono. Disinfectants were sprayed using fire engines (PMK) and water cannons into crowded centers.

 They are also willing to visit a densely populated settlement in Kauman Village, Mojosari while carrying a disinfectant spray device. The police also socialized the free COVID-19 vaccination which will be held at the Mojokerto Police Headquarters, Jalan Gajah Mada on Saturday (26/6).

 "The target of spraying is the entire sub-district. Muspika and three village pillars simultaneously spray. In this one week we routinely suppress the spread of COVID-19 in Mojokerto Regency," said Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Dony Alexander to reporters in Kauman Village, Thursday (24/6). /2021).

 Besides Mojosari, there are 5 sub-districts in Mojokerto Regency which are also orange zones. This means that the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the 6 sub-districts is moderate. They are Pungging District with 182 cases, Ward with 247 cases, Puri with 202 cases, Sooko with 227 cases, and Mojoanyar with 181 cases.

 Meanwhile, the number of residents of Mojokerto Regency infected with COVID-19 increased by 165 people in the past week. That is, from 2,567 people on Thursday (17/6) to 2,732 people on Wednesday (23/6). Consisting of 221 active cases, 2,437 patients recovered, and 74 patients died.

 Dony explained that the Mojokerto Regency COVID-19 Task Force also maximized micro-scale PPMK. Testing, tracing and treatment (3T), as well as 5M prokes increased to the level of the neighborhood (RT). In addition, judicial operations will be encouraged so that people comply with the prokes.

 "Our appeal is that the public must comply with the 5M process. People who have a celebration, we urge them to submit an application to the task force. We will study it, we will check it. If we do not comply with the process, we will dissolve it," he explained.

 Mojokerto Regent Ikfina Fahmawati admitted that COVID-19 cases in her area had continued to soar in the past week. In addition to optimizing micro-scale PPKM, his party will also improve tracing.
