The National Police Chief Inaugurates the National Precision SIM Application, Can Extend the SIM from Home

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the SINAR (National Presisi SIM) application. The presence of this online SIM application is a manifestation of his promise during a fit and proper test by carrying out the transformation of Presisi, namely institutional, operational, public service and supervision.

"The National Police must follow the technology development strategy and the COVID-19 pandemic," said Sigit at Satpas SIM Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

The former Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police said, the presence of this online SIM could provide humane police services and avoid contact between officers and the public to eliminate abuse of authority.

"It is time for the National Police to present the traffic police (Polantas) who are dignified and respected by the public without using weapons," he said.

He also appreciated the National Police Corps who once again proved the application of technology in community service after the existence of ETLE.

"Today, Korlantas has proven again that after ETLE, then it is able to change the police service that always interacts with the community, and today SIM services can be accessed from home and anywhere," he said.

With the presence of an online SIM, the former Banten Police Chief said that people who need SIM extension services can be done from home. In the future, he hopes that the application for a new SIM and an extension of the STNK can also use the application.

"Enough from home, SIM extension services can be done by cooperating with the post office to make deliveries," he said.

Korlantas itself P collaborated with BNI in facilitating online SIM PNBP payment services, through Virtual Accounts (VA) and PT Pos Indonesia for SIM delivery services to the applicant's residence.

This collaboration is one of BNI's commitments to provide the best service to the community, especially in implementing digital services that BNI has consistently echoed.

President Director of BNI Royke Tumilaar said, BNI welcomed the launch of SINAR as an effort to facilitate services to the community, implementing digitization within the Police. On the other hand, this innovation also supports the Government's efforts to implement health protocols through SIM extension services from home only.

BNI is ready with a digital service solution for SIM payments, where SIM applicants will get a BNI Virtual Account (VA) as a means of making SIM PNBP payments.

"To make it easier for the public, PNBP payments can be made through any bank, including through BNI e-channels such as ATMs, BNI Mobile Banking and also through all BNI branch offices throughout Indonesia," Royke concluded.
