Sigit emphasized this when opening the Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) of the National Police Propam Division at the Rupatama Building of the Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday (13/4/2021).
"Against those who have committed a crime, especially drugs if it cannot be repaired, if it cannot be fostered, that is immediately resolved," said Sigit in his speech.
According to Sigit, as police personnel, their main duties are clear, to eradicate, suppress and arrest drug dealers in Indonesia. Not quite the opposite, the police actually got into that problem.
"Because I think we, as law enforcers, are tasked with making arrests and eradicating such things. But there are colleagues who are also in it, which is to be resolved quickly," said the former Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police.
Currently, Sigit said, there have been many changes in the attitude and behavior of the police in the field. Especially personnel who are at the forefront of providing services to the community.
"I see that in the field there are many changes that have been made by members,
I saw how my coworkers were present when the community needed the presence of the police at noon, during floods, when it rained, "said Sigit.
Therefore, Sigit emphasized, police officers who are involved in drugs or other crimes will actually damage the image of the Police, which currently continues to build public trust even higher.
"Therefore, don't just one or two individuals who commit violations, then the 100 members who have been working so hard will disappear. Like just because of a speck of tilapia, the milk is broken, things like that in the future must be repaired," concluded Sigit. .
