Bareskrim and Customs thwarted circulation of 42.3 kg of crystal meth and 85 thousand ecstasy

Jakarta - The National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate thwarted the distribution of methamphetamine weighing 42.337 kilograms (Kg) and 85,038 ecstasy pills. It is the result of a joint operation with Customs.

 "We convey that from February to today, the Criminal Investigation Agency and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, especially the Narcotics Sub-Directorate, conducted a joint operation codenamed Dewa Ruci 2021," said Director of Tipid Narcotics at Bareskrim Polri Brig. Gen. Krisno Halomoan Siregar at a press conference at the National Police Criminal Investigation Building Building, Jakarta. South, Tuesday (30/3/2021).

 Krisno explained, the first disclosure of Gosong Deli Port, Belawan, North Sumatra. In this operation, officers arrested two suspects, namely RW (41) and MY (38).

 "Evidence includes 42,337 grams of methamphetamine and 40,038 pieces of Ecstasy and 10 H5 items," said Krisno.

 The operation was when joint officers were patrolling the Gosong Deli sea route. While on duty, the authorities saw the suspicious ship and gave chase until it was finally stopped.

 "Bringing muata four small packages and two large packages containing pink pills and 40 packets of Chinese tea which is suspected of being a narcotic type of crystal methamphetamine," said Krisno.

 For his actions, the suspect was charged under Article 62, Article 60 ayar (4), Article 60 paragraph (5) Law Number 5 Year 1997 concerning Psychotropics, Article 114 VERSE (2) Jo Article 132 paragraph (1) Subsidiary Article 112 (2) Jo Article 132 ayar (1) RI Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics.

 Furthermore, the second arrest was made at Tanjung Piayu Laut Beach, Batam City, Riau Islands. During the operation, the officers arrested three suspects, namely, MA (25), MM (25), and FK (27).

 "The evidence that was secured was 45,000 ecstasy pills," said Krisno.

 During the interrogation, the MA suspect admitted that he was ordered by a Malaysian EM who would be given to the TN suspect who was someone who was on the Wanted List (DPO).

 As a result of their actions, they are suspected of violating Article 114 paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 paragraph (1) Subsidair Article 112 (2) Jo Article 132 paragraph (1) RI Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.
