"The mask distribution activity is part of the educational activity for the implementation of health protocols for the public during the Covid-19 pandemic," said the Head of Probolinggo Police, AKBP Ferdy Irawan, to reporters.
The police chief hopes that the distribution of masks to road users can be safer while driving. He also said that in adapting to new habits, people are required to continue to practice discipline in maintaining personal hygiene.
"According to health protocols, people must familiarize themselves with maintaining health. Primarily using a mask when leaving the house and washing their hands using soap when they arrive at home to prevent the spread of the Corona virus," said the Head of Police, accompanied by Kapolsek Pakuniran AKP Haby Sutoko.
"Alhamdulillah, this activity of distributing masks to residents has received positive support from the community. Because this effort is believed to reduce the risk of transmission and spread of Covid-19 on the streets," he said.
Meanwhile, a road user, Muhammad Khoirul (45) was happy after receiving a free mask and was given an explanation regarding the dangers of being exposed to the corona virus and health discipline in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"I am happy to be concerned about health problems. I was given a mask by the Police to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to me and my family," said Khoirul.
