Police and Kiai Hold Vaccinations, Increase Herd Immunity in East Java

East Java Regional Police Headquarters (Mapolda) held vaccinations for members and State Civil Apparatus (ASN), from all Work Units (Satker) within the East Java Regional Police. On Wednesday morning (24/2/2021), which took place at the Mahameru Building of the East Java Regional Police.

 East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta, and East Java Deputy Police Chief, Police Brigadier General Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo, together with the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Gatot Repli Handoko and other East Java Regional Police (PJU) officers, conduct direct monitoring and checking of members who carry out vaccinations .

 A total of 600 members and ASN were divided into two waves, for the first wave it was conducted at 08.00 to 10.00 WIB, while for the second wave it was held at 10.00 to 12.00 WIB, each wave was attended by 300 personnel.

 On this occasion, the Head of East Java Police, Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta said, there were as many as 40,282 people from all members in East Java, and received 800 vaccines. Today 600 vaccines were used, and for the 200 vaccines were used yesterday.

 "We received 800 vaccines, 600 of which have been opened today, of which 200 have been implemented. We have also prepared 1,824 vaccinators, doctors, nurses, midwives, 770 have been certified, then we have prepared 422 who have been trained, so that there are 1,200. ready to become a vaccinator to assist the government in vaccinating the entire community, "he explained.

 Furthermore, for health workers themselves, from all ranks of Polda East Java as many as 4,211. The East Java Regional Police Chief appealed to all Polri health personnel to support government programs.

 Apart from the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, vaccination was also carried out at the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Committee, to 98 kiai / ulama and Nahdlatul Ulama figures, on Tuesday (23/02) afternoon, at the East Java PWNU Office Jl. Masjid Al-Akbar Timur 9 Surabaya.

 The first kiai to be vaccinated was KH Anwar Manshur (Rais Syuriah PWNU East Java), then KH Marzuki Mustamar (Head of PWNU East Java), followed by other kiai.

 The chairman of the East Java PWNU stated that this was a mandatory effort to help overcome the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. "This is a zahir effort that must be done, even though everything is from Allah SWT. What is clear is that this vaccine is lawful and good for all of us, ”said Kiai Marzuqi, his nickname.
