Governor of South Sulawesi and Chief of Police Inaugurate Construction of Police Houses for Earthquake Victims in West Sulawesi

JAKARTA - South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Governor Nurdin Abdullah and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the construction of 50 permanent residential houses for police officers and their families who were victims of the earthquake in West Sulawesi (Sulbar).

 The inauguration was symbolized by the laying of the first stone by the South Sulawesi Governor and the National Police Chief. The construction of the house is official assistance from the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Sulawesi.

 "The governor of South Sulawesi provided assistance to members of the Police, who were affected by the earthquake," said Sigit during his work visit, Friday (12/2/2021).

 The former Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police explained that the provision of assistance was a form of brotherhood between the provincial government where the people were experiencing difficulties due to natural disasters.

 "As a form of brotherhood values, even though they are different provinces, they feel empathy as their citizens. Because before the division of West Sulawesi was a region of South Sulawesi," said Sigit.

 With this development, Sigit hopes that all police personnel will be motivated and motivated to continue to be enthusiastic about carrying out their duties in maintaining security and social security.

 "It is given motivation to keep up the spirit by increasing brotherhood and unity. Stay alert to the Covid-19 situation and implement health protocols," said Sigit.

 Just to note, West Sulawesi was rocked by an earthquake measuring magnitude 6.2 some time ago. As a result, a number of buildings were damaged quite badly.

 Currently, there are 11,423 houses in Mamuju and 4,099 houses in Majene damaged.
