The red and white hoisting ahead of the commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021 was carried out at the invitation of the Jombang Police Chief AKBP Agung Setyo Nugroho during a visit to the Perdula KSU in Ngoro District, Jombang Regency on Tuesday (3/8/2021) afternoon.
Chief of Police AKBP Agung Setyo Nugroho said the raising of the red and white flag was a symbol of encouragement to the community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation as well as mobilizing the community in supporting the government program for implementing PPKM Level 4.
"We invite all parties, especially the All-Indonesian Workers Union KSU Perdula Ngoro Jombang to fly the red and white flag to inflame the spirit of never giving up, the spirit of togetherness, mutual cooperation, helping each other in getting through the Covid-19 pandemic," he said.
According to the Police Chief, this activity can be a motivation for workers or the community to always comply with health protocols and support government programs in order to overcome the pandemic. By working together and working together, this pandemic can be passed well.
"The spirit to fight Covid-19 must continue to be inflamed together. So people can survive by working while maintaining their health. With prokes, obeying government regulations through policies, both central and regional," he said.

In addition to raising the red and white flag, the Head of Police and his entourage also handed over basic food assistance in the form of rice to representatives of the KSU Perdula Ngoro Jombang workers. The social assistance is expected to ease the burden of those affected by Covid-19.
