As done by the Kalitidu Police Chief, AKP Harjo who will bear the cost of treating Dasi (70), a resident of Pilangsari Village, Kalitidu District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, who has been sick for five days.
Apart from paying for the treatment costs, the elderly residents who live in Rukun Tetangga (RT) 06, Rukun Warga (RW) 02, Hamlet Jambe, were also given compensation and food assistance by the Kalitidu Police.
"We will bear all the costs of Mbah Dasi's treatment, in coordination with the health authorities and the Pilangsari Village Government (Pemdes)," said Kalitidu Police Chief, Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP) Harjo, to reporters on the sidelines of checking Dasi's house, together with the Pilangsari Village Government and Kalitidu Koramil, Tuesday (03/08/2021).
The former Gayam Police Chief admitted that what was done to Mbah Dasi was part of a social activity to care for others in order to ease the burden on the community, especially the underprivileged during the pandemic and PPKM in his jurisdiction.
"Hopefully what we provide can be useful and at least can lighten the burden a little. Hopefully Mbah Dasi will soon be removed from her illness by Allah SWT," added the humanist man.
Darni, Dasi's only son, thanked the Kalitidu Police and related to their concern for their parents.
"Thank you, Mr. Harjo Polsek, and the health and Pilangsari village government for their kindness. May Allah SWT reward them in kind," he said.
Meanwhile, the Pilangsari Village Head, Deni Heliyanto, welcomed and fully supported the concern of the TNI and Polri, especially the Kalitidu Muspika for Mbah Dasi.
"We are very supportive and ready to be invited to coordinate at any time for the common good," he concluded
