Kediri City Police Forms Covid-19 Surveillance Team

The increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Kediri City continues to be anticipated by the Kediri City Police. Kediri City Police Officers formed a Covid-19 Monitoring Team and carried out simulations, Friday (9/7). It is hoped that the team will be able to help the spread of Covid-19.

Kediri City Police Chief AKBP. Wahyudi, S.I.K., M.H. revealed the formation of this team to anticipate the increasing cases of Covid-19. Members of the Kediri City Police are asked to be on standby if they are asked for assistance with the starting process.

"We know that the current number of Covid-19 continues to increase. We form this team to assist in the relocation of corpses if needed," said AKBP. Wahyudi, S.I.K., M.H.

The training begins with wearing complete personal protective equipment first, then the officers simulate how to circulate the bodies infected with Covid-19. Officers sprayed disinfectant liquid at every stage, such as the process of bathing and wrapping the corpse.

The hole in the body of the corpse must be covered with cotton, which has been disinfected. Then the body is put in a lined plastic bag and put in a coffin. This method must be done to prevent liquid droplets from flowing out of the body cavity.

AKBP. Wahyudi added that every Polsek ranks were asked to be able to carry out the relocation of bodies. So that if residents are needed to help with the distribution of Covid-19 corpses, each member has provisions for relocating corpses.

"We have formed a team for the relocation of bodies and every Polsek must be able to carry out the relocation," said AKBP Wahyudi, S.I.K., M.H.
