Malang Police Chief AKBP Bagoes Wibisono said today's mass vaccination campaign was targeted for a total of 15,000 people.
"Today's total mass vaccination target is 15,000 doses of vaccine or 15,000 people. This number includes the implementation of vaccines at the Kanjuruhan Stadium as well as in every Puskesmas in Malang Regency," said Bagoes at the location.
Bagoes stated that this mass vaccination was a step for his party to support and realize a national program to achieve Herd Immunity (community immunity) which was carried out in an effort to stop the Covid-19 pandemic.
"The purpose of this mass vaccination is to accelerate the formation of herd immunity in Malang Regency," explained the former Madiun Police Chief.
Bagoes emphasized that his party will work optimally to continue to support the government's program with the noble aim of saving human lives.
"We will work tirelessly non-stop to accelerate the government's program to create herd immunity to save human lives
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang Police Ops, Kompol Hegy Renanta, stated that the implementation of mass vaccines was carried out in four zones, namely Zones A, B, C and D.
"The Padal (controlling officers) in each zone are responsible for implementing health protocols at their respective points," said Hegy.
The Head of the Ops Division emphasized that the officers on duty would continue to intensify the prokes so as not to contradict the vaccination efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
"The security team must work hard to ensure that vaccination participants do not gather in groups, and must wear masks," he added.
The activity initiated by Forkopimda Kab. Malang is very popular with the public, but the community is asked to carry out vaccinations later in order to maintain the 3M process, namely washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining distance.
