"So there is the government, there is a campus, there is the private sector, there is the community, there is the media. The concept of this Pentahelix approach must be able to provide the best treatment for the whole community, which we hope that we can realize this herd immunity soon," explained East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa during a visit to check vaccination at Airlangga University Surabaya, Sunday (25/7/2021).
During his visit, the Governor of East Java was accompanied by the Military Commander V Brawijaya Major General Suharyanto, Commander of the Second Fleet Command (Pangkormada II) Rear Admiral TNI Iwan Isnurwanto, and the East Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta, and accompanied by the East Java Regional Head Marsma TNI Rudy Iskandar, East Java Provincial Secretary, The Main Officials of the East Java Police and the Main Officials of Kodam V/Brawijaya, checked the implementation of the vaccination of Airlangga University Students and Educators.
This vaccination was carried out for 2 days, namely Saturday and Sunday, July 24-25, with a target of 6000 participants consisting of Lecturers, Students and Alumni of Airlangga University, this activity involved 50 health workers, a combination of Dr. RSUD. Soetomo and UNAIR Hospital.
Synergy and strong partnerships are very important parts, all strategic elements that have the energy to be able to jointly accelerate vaccination. We hope we can maximize everything.
"God willing, universities and other universities will also get the same quota from the provincial government which has been delivered by the central government. Hopefully we can continue to do this and we can make acceleration happen," said the Governor of East Java.
It is hoped that the achievement of the target of this vaccination attack can be supported by all parties, so that herd immunity can be formed in August, as a special gift at the 76th Indonesian Independence Day.
