Crossing the Semeru Cold Lava River, Lumajang Police Chief Distributes Social Assistance for Isolated Residents

LUMAJANG-Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Eka Yekti Hananto Seno, SIK, M.Si went directly to distribute social assistance (bansos) for residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in South Kebondeli Hamlet, Sumberwuluh Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, Friday (23/7/2021) .

 By walking across the Kebondeli river which is the cold lava flow of Mount Semeru, the Police Chief and his members distributed social assistance in the form of 5 kg of rice for residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 The first handover was carried out by the Head of the Police in Jobong Village RT 05, South Kebondeli Hamlet, then the second Kajar Blank Village RT 5, South Kebondeli Hamlet, Sumberwuluh District, Candipuro District.

 "We distributed 150 packages or 750 kg of rice to residents affected by Covid-19 and Emergency PPKM," said Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Eka Yekti Hananto Seno.

 He conveyed that the Lumajang Police carried out social services to provide social assistance from the government, South Kebondeli hamlet, Sumberwuluh District, Candipuro District.

 "The area is very isolated, so we try to touch the fairly difficult journey to the location to distribute aid to residents affected by COVID-19," explained Eka Yekti.

 Meanwhile, Paur Sub-Division of Public Relations of the Lumajang Police, Ipda Andrias Shinta, said that as many as 150 packages or 750 kg of social services containing rice from the government were distributed as a form of concern for Polri institutions, especially the Lumajang Police, to the underprivileged communities affected by Covid-19 in isolated areas.

 "We hope that this social assistance can help ease the burden on the underprivileged in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and the community's economy can gradually grow well," he hoped.

 On that occasion, said Ipda Andrias Shinta, his party also invited the public to continue to comply with government recommendations regarding health protocols, in order to prevent and spread the Corona Virus.

 "To break the Covid-19 chain, people must continue to comply with health protocols, including, always wearing masks correctly when outside the house and washing hands with soap and keeping a distance or avoiding crowds," he said.
