75th Bhayangkara Day, Lumajang Police Raise a Giant Red and White Flag

LUMAJANG - In the framework of the 75th Bhayangkara Day, the East Java Lumajang Resort Police (Polres) raised the Giant Red and White Flag at the Coban Sewu Waterfall tour, Panorama Tumpak Sewu, Pronojiwo District, Thursday (1/7/2021).

 The giant flag measuring 100 meters x 6 meters is hoisted on the cliffs of the Coban Sewu and Tumpak Sewu waterfalls.

 Present at the flag hoisting, Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Eka Yekti Hananto Seno S.I.K., M.Si, Head of Traffic AKP Bayu Halim Nugroho, S.H., S.I.K. Kasat Sabhara, AKP Jauhar Ma'arif, S.Sos, M.H., 7 professionals from the Dear Traveler Adventure Team led by Ernold (Command 71) and 81 personnel from the Lumajang Police.

 Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Eka Yekti Hananto Seno said the raising of the giant red and white flag measuring 100 meters x 6 meters was part of a series of activities on the 75th Bhayangkara Day.

 "Today we are raising the red and white giant flag 100 m x 6 m on the cliffs of the Coban Sewu waterfall and the Tumpak Sewu panorama," he said.

 AKBP Eka Yekti explained, so this activity aims to promote tourism objects in Lumajang Regency and also to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Police.

 "So the flag raising is also in commemoration of Bhayangkara Day on July 1, the 75th," he said.

 According to him, so the values ​​of heroism, the values ​​of nationalism must be transmitted to the younger generation as well as the extraordinary nature tourism that is owned by Lumajang Regency which also happens to be bordering Malang Regency.

 "The Coban Sewu Waterfall and the panorama of Tumpak Sewu can be called the Niagara of our nation, the Indonesian people," said the Police Chief.

 Furthermore, AkBP Eka Yekti said, in this activity, of course, there are many obstacles, the main thing is natural factors because of the location in nature, so wind constraints, and wind pressure, water pressure is very influential. Then there are also many bushes, the contours of the cliffs are not straight, so there are lots of gaps.

 "It makes it difficult for us to carry out some red and white flag-raising maneuvers," he concluded
