The Probolinggo Police Chief, AKBP Teuku Arsya Gaddafi, emphasized that around 200 personnel were deployed to secure the 2021 Kasada.
According to him, all Tengger residents who are going to worship must bring a negative Covid-19 certificate.
"If later the resident does not bring a certificate of swab results, the local Task Force has prepared a swab test on the spot," said the Police Chief to reporters at the Probolinggo Police Headquarters, Thursday (24/6/2021).
Arsya guaranteed that all Kasada security officers had undergone a swab test before serving. The security guard deployed must be negative for Covid-19.
"From the Polres itself, we will deploy 60 members who will serve as security later. There are also personnel from the Satgas, Kodim 0820 and Jogo Boyo, a total of 200 people," explained the Police Chief.
The Probolinggo Police conducted an isolation in Sukapura District. Arsya has coordinated with the Pasuruan Police to block the route to Bromo.
"We have also limited the total capacity to 25 percent. So the capacity itself can accommodate around 1000 people. Therefore, out of 1000 people only 25 percent are allowed to attend," said Arsya.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Probolinggo District Communications and Information Service, Yulius Christian, explained that the Tengger Tribe at Mount Bromo will hold the Kasada ceremony on June 25, 2021.
