The commitment to prevent a spike in COVID-19 cases is evidenced by the title of a health protocol enforcement force (prokes) at the Mojokerto Police Headquarters. The call involved all elements of the Mojokerto Regency COVID-19 Task Force.
Starting from the police, TNI, Satpol PP, Department of Transportation, village heads, health workers, BPBD, to volunteers. Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Dony Alexander, Dandim 0815 Lieutenant Colonel Inf Dwi Mawan Sutanto and Regent Ikfina Fahmawati led the troops directly.
"The deployment of these troops is to increase our awareness regarding the increase in cases of COVID-19. We all need to improve our performance again. Starting from the COVID-19 Task Force, the Micro PPKM post at the village level, to the resilient village of Semeru in each village," he said. Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Dony Alexander told reporters at the location, Thursday (10/6/2021).
Currently, Mojokerto Regency has the status of a yellow zone or a low risk of spreading COVID-19. 2,499 people of Earth Majapahit were infected with the Corona virus. Consisting of 2,373 recovered patients, 54 are in treatment, and 72 patients have died.
The mortality rate for COVID-19 patients in Mojokerto Regency is low. That is 2.88 percent, or almost 3 out of 100 patients died from the Corona virus. Meanwhile, the patient's recovery rate reached 94.96 percent.
"Currently, Mojokerto Regency is in the yellow zone. However, we must be vigilant because the zone changes are very volatile. This can't make us relieved, but instead the spike in cases in several regencies in East Java should make us always alert for movements to Mojokerto Regency," he explained .
Mojokerto Regent Ikfina Fahmawati explained that micro PPKM was the most effective in preventing a spike in COVID-19 cases. Because controlling the spread of the Corona virus can be done up to the RT level. So the economic impact is not too big.
Namely by implementing testing, tracing and treatment (3T), as well as 5M prokes in every RT spread over 304 villages/kelurahan in Mojokerto Regency. The 5M process includes wearing masks, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility.
"Micro PPKM applies in all RTs, mandatory. Both those in the green zone continue to exercise vigilance by applying 3T and 5M. In the yellow zone, vigilance increases. In the orange zone, there are restrictions. So localized in each RT according to the criteria for the number of sufferers. within the family," he explained.
Strengthening the 3T and 5M protocols to a micro scale, said Ikfina, is effective in preventing the spread of any variant of COVID-19. "If we find a positive case, we must immediately trace it, look for anyone who has close contact with the patient. Then get tested. That way, we can minimize the spread because positive cases are immediately isolated," he said.
