Sumenep is currently in the yellow zone, the addition of daily cases, both positive and dead, is very small. Even for 9 weeks there was no additional positive case of a single person, "said Suharyanto.

Then, he and the East Java Police Chief also wanted to check the implementation of the health protocol on the eastern tip of the island of Madura, in connection with the increase in Covid-19 cases in Bangkalan Regency, which is a neighboring district of Sumenep.

According to Suharyanto, checking health protocols is related to sharpening the implementation of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), then the process of managing Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) from Sumenep who have just arrived from abroad.

"After the PMI from Sumenep was declared negative when a swab was carried out at the Surabaya Hajj hostel, it turned out that quarantine and swab were also carried out in Sumenep.
