It is known that the suspects have the initials CH (30) a woman and MA (34) a man from Bandung. Then EK (38) a resident of Sidoarjo, FH (25) from Kuningan Regency and CL (22) from Cipayung, East Jakarta.
Based on the information from the Deputy Chief of the Surabaya Police, AKBP Hartoyo, S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Head of the Narcotics Satres, Kompol Daniel Marunduri, S.I.K., M.H., explained that the arrest of the suspect started from public information that there would be a shipment of methamphetamine from Medan to Surabaya.
Furthermore, the Opsnal Team of the Narcotics Unit of the Surabaya Police carried out an investigation and prosecution until the team finally managed to arrest suspect CH and MA on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Mojokerto Surabaya Toll Road Rest Area along with evidence in the form of 10 packages of green tea containing methamphetamine drugs weighing approximately 10 ,5 kg.
“The first to be arrested were sister CH then brother CL. This was secured at an airport in Surabaya. Then from there, we will develop the three other suspects," said AKBP Hartoyo, while chairing a press conference at the Surabaya Police Main Page, Friday (25/06/2021).
After an investigation was carried out, CH had taken and delivered three times on orders from the dealer with the initials AA from December 2020 to April 2021. CH admitted that for each delivery he received a salary of 60 million rupiah.
Furthermore, after further development, the team again succeeded in arresting another suspect with the initials EK on last Friday (07/06/2021) at Bungurasi Terminal Jl. Raya Waru Sidoarjo along with the evidence weighing more than 4.6 kg.
Then the Opsnal Team of the Surabaya Police Narcotics Satresnal carried out development again and succeeded in arresting new suspects with the initials FH and CL on Thursday (17/06/2021) in the Jl. Suparjan Mangun Kediri. When the two suspects were arrested, they were in the car with evidence in the form of 4 packs of green tea packaging containing 4.2 kg of methamphetamine.
Head of the Surabaya Police Narcotics Satres, Kompol Daniel Marunduri added that all the narcotics that were successfully secured were goods from Medan that would be circulated in the Surabaya and surrounding areas.
"For their delivery using vehicles, there are two cars, the first we caught a black Toyota Camri and the second a Honda Jazz," added Commissioner Daniel Marunduri.
The evidence that was successfully secured from the arrest was in the form of methamphetamine with a total amount of 20.5 kg, 8 cellphones, 3 different ATM units, 3 stubborn plastic clips, 1 scale and 1 unit of Honda Jazz and 1 unit of Toyota Camry. .
As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Jo. Article 132 paragraph (1) Subs, Article 112 Paragraph (2) RI Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with the maximum penalty of the death penalty.
