East Java Regional Leadership Communication Forum Provides Social Assistance for Victims of Natural Disasters and Prepares Simple Homes for Disaster Victims

MALANG, - In the last week an earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale (SR) rocked Malang Regency, East Java on Saturday (10/4/2021) at around 14.00 WIB. This incident caused some houses to be damaged and even badly damaged.

 As seen in Sumber Manggis Hamlet RT 01, RW 01, Jogomulyan Village, Tirtoyudo District, Malang Regency. Some of the residents' houses were cracked and many of them collapsed due to the earthquake.

 In order to help the community, the Government, TNI and Polri, jointly assist and work together to clean up the debris from the ruins of house materials.

 Forkopimda East Java Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Pangdam V Brawijaya Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Nico Afinta, accompanied by the Main Officer (PJU) of the East Java Regional Police and Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Gatot Repli Handoko, Saturday, April 17, 2021 afternoon, as well as providing social assistance to victims of natural disasters.

 Upon arriving at the location, the Governor of East Java Forkopimda, Pangdam V Brawijaya and the Head of East Java Regional Police, in turn, provided assistance to representatives of communities affected by natural disasters.

 The social assistance provided includes instant noodles, toiletries, blankets, medicines, women's needs, groceries and school equipment. Apart from providing social assistance to disaster victims.

 Kodam V Brawijaya and Polda East Java, also alerted a trauma healing team to restore trauma for residents and surrounding children.

 After providing assistance to earthquake victims, it was continued with a review of the construction of a simple house marked by the laying of the first stone by the Governor of East Java, the Pangdam V Brawijaya and the East Java Regional Police Chief.

 For collapsed houses, residents were evacuated to emergency tents belonging to the East Java Provincial BPBD. Meanwhile, residents' houses that can still be occupied, they still live in their respective homes.

 East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said that the process for submitting data must be validated which can be announced through the urban village office.

 "Meanwhile, houses that are lightly damaged and are being carried out by self-management which are heavily damaged will receive 50 million rupiah," said the Governor of East Java, Saturday (17/4/2021) afternoon.

 Khofifah added, so that they would not be in the refugee camps, the TNI and Polri would work together and work together with the community to accelerate the construction of simple houses.

 Meanwhile, Pangdam V Brawijaya Maj. Gen. Suharyanto explained that members of the TNI and Polri were ready to be alerted at the disaster site to be able to jointly help the community.

 "Thousands of TNI members were deployed here and assisted by the Police," concluded Pangdam V Brawijaya.
