Probolinggo Police Chief AKBP Ferdy Irawan said the activity was attended by 30 personnel from his ranks. This amount is from the high enthusiasm of his party who has participated in the screening activity of conventional plasma donors that was held a week earlier at PMI Probolinggo Regency.
"As many as 30 personnel from the Probolinggo Police, who are Covid-19 survivors, are enthusiastic and moved to carry out the convalescent plasma at UDD PMI Lumajang," Ferdy said in his statement, Thursday (18/2/2021).
Ferdy said that the convalescent plasma donor activity is expected to also contribute to the acceleration of recovery for Corona patients in addition to using vaccines.
"Convalescent plasma donors from COVID-19 survivors are urgently needed in the hope that this can be one way to prevent the spread and accelerate recovery that is confirmed by COVID-19 apart from vaccines," said Ferdy.
On the occasion, it was seen that the Head of Lumajang Police, AKBP Eka Yekti and the Head of UDD PMI Lumajang, dr. Halimi monitored the implementation of the convalescent plasma donor activity which was attended by the Head of the Probolinggo Police and Probolinggo Police in the Blood Donation Unit of PMI Lumajang.
"We appreciate and thank the Head of Police of Probolinggo and his staff who also supported through the holding of a convalescent plasma donor event today," said Doctor Halimi.
Doctor Halimi added that he would continue to encourage public participation, especially Covid-19 survivors, to be willing to do plasma donors as an effort to help others. Currently, the amount of supply is not proportional to the demand.
