Pangdam V Brawijaya and Head of East Java Police Chief Observe Landslide Location in Ngetos Village, Nganjuk Regency

NGANJUK, Pangdam V Brawijaya Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, together with the Head of East Java Regional Police, Insp. Gen. Pol. Dr. Nico Afinta, accompanied by the Chief Officer (PJU) of the East Java Regional Police and the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Gatot Repli Handoko, Wednesday (17/2/2021) afternoon, visited the Floods and Landslides in Selopuro Hamlet, Ngetos Village, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency .

 Apart from observing the landslide location, the Pangdam V Brawijaya and the Head of the East Java Regional Police also conducted a survey at the Landslide Emergency Response Post and the evacuation site.

 East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Nico Afinta said that his party had deployed 400 personnel, a combination of TNI, Polri, Tagana and volunteers to search for disaster victims who were still buried by landslides.

 In addition to deploying hundreds of joint personnel, sniffer dogs were also deployed to detect victims at certain points and dispatched psychologists to carry out trauma healing to recover trauma for children affected by the disaster.

 "To find victims who have not been found due to the landslide disaster, we deployed 400 joint personnel. Apart from that, we also sent a team of psychologists to recover trauma healing for children," said the East Java Regional Police Chief, after inspecting the landslide location, Wednesday (17/2/2021 ) afternoon.

 Until now, there are 6 (six) victims who have not been found, it is hoped that the missing victims can be evacuated immediately.
