Opening Public Speaking Training, Head of Public Relations Division: As a Follow-up to Strengthening Public Communication

JAKARTA—- Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, officially opened a public speaking training as a follow-up to the 100-day program for the Chief of Police's priority to believe in strengthening Public Communication.

 Argo said that the training with the theme Strengthening the Capacity of the Police Human Resources with Precision (Predictive, Responsibility, Transparency, and Justice) was attended by all Heads of Public Relations at the Polda ranks and representatives of the TNI Puspen, Dispen TNI AD, Dispen TNI AL, and Dispen TNI AU via virtual. .

 "This is a form of capacity strengthening
 Public Communications resources. As well as providing provisions for all Police Heads and Head of Public Relations to have the ability to speak in front of the public and the media which is professional and has a positive impact on the image of the Police, "said Argo Yuwono in a written statement, Monday (22/2).

 The training, which is collaborating with LKBN Antara, continued Argo, will later invite participants to learn how to package verbal and non-verbal communication techniques so that they can be delivered effectively, which will lead to forming a positive image of the Police in building public trust.

 "I hope the training participants can take advantage of this training and can be of benefit and really become a momentum to increase their capacity as the leading sector in the face of the National Police in the region," hoped Argo.

 The Public Relations function in the Polri organization is like a strategic instrument needed to build equal communication with the community, at the same time constructive, related to the development of a positive image for the existence of the Police, thus enabling the realization of an understanding and can foster trust through the building of a good reputation of the Police in the eyes of the public.

 The time for this training was held from Monday 22 to Friday 26 February 2021 via virtual live broadcast from the Antara Office on Jalan Merdeka Selatan with a total of 530 Polda personnel in the Public Relations Division.
