Firm to Health Protocol Violators, Police Give Awards to BRI Security Offices in Makassar

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters Baharkam through the Police Headquarters gave an award to the Security Unit (Satpam) who worked at the BRI Bank unit KCP Pasar Sentral Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General of Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, said the award was given to a security guard named Nasruddin because of his firmness against health protocol violators (prokes).

"The awards are given in the form of a charter and coaching fee. The National Police appreciates the security guard's performance because of his assertiveness to health protocol violators," said Argo in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday (25/2/2021).

The security guard named Nasruddin went viral on social media because he prohibited a number of non-governmental organizations from entering the BRI Central Makassar office. The NGO officers got angry and scolded Nasruddin.

Even so, Nasruddin still firmly asked NGOs to discipline the prokes. After going viral, the NGO officials apologized for their mistake because they did not comply with the health program.

The apology was made after the mediation process carried out by the Wajo Police, the Makassar Port Police.

For the problems that were resolved by deliberation, the National Police Headquarters Baharkam Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan also appreciated it.

"Kakorbinmas appreciates this because this matter can be discussed and mediated by the police chief. And to the non-governmental organizations, they thank them for being loyal and apologize. The point is we must prioritize familial mediation to solve the problem," he said.
