East Java Regional Police Chief Visits Health Posts in Jombang, And Provides Social Assistance to Flood Victims

JOMBANG, Head of East Java Police Inspector General Dr.  Nico Afinta, accompanied by the Main Officer (PJU) of the East Java Regional Police and the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Gatot Repli Handoko, Tuesday (9/2/2021) afternoon, visited the flood disaster refugee camps at Gondangmanis Village Hall, Bandar Kedung Mulyo District, Jombang Regency.

 The Head of East Java Regional Police, Inspector General Nico, said that the ranks of the TNI, Polri are ready to help people affected by the flood disaster.  Later, the ranks of the TNI, Polri will be alerted to be able to help victims of the flood disaster that occurred in Jombang.

 "We, especially the TNI, the Police are ready to help the flood victims in Jombang Regency," said the East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Nico Afinta, after visiting the health post.

 In addition to observing the Gondangmanis Village Hall, a place for residents to evacuate is also a health post.  The East Java Regional Police Chief also provided social assistance to flood victims.  This is to ease the burden on residents affected by the flood disaster.

 "The assistance we provide is in the form of two tons of rice, an aid package containing medicines and also two thousand masks, I hope this assistance can ease the burden on disaster victims," ​​he added.

 After inspecting the evacuation sites, the East Java Regional Police continued to inspect the houses of residents who were still flooded, which had not receded until now.

 Using boots and walking, the East Java Regional Police Head to the residents' houses which are still flooded.  In the middle of the trip, the East Java Police Chief took the time to greet the people who had fled in an emergency tent.

 When heading to the location to a resident's house which was still flooded, the Regional Police Chief and the Deputy Regent of Jombang Regency.  Boarding the rubber boat belonging to the Brimob Sat.  The East Java Regional Police Chief also provides social assistance to people who are still at home.

 If there are still people in the house or emergency tent, it is hoped that later they can be evacuated to a safer and more comfortable place.  This is because to anticipate if it rains again.

 "If there are still people who survive in houses or tents, they can be immediately evacuated to the health post," he explained.

 In addition to helping victims of disasters that occurred in East Java.  The East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Nico, has also formed a "Disaster Task Force", they are from the ranks of Brimob and Samapta.
