The Chief of the Probolinggo Police, through the Chief of the Kuripan Police, AKP Kusmidi, said the activity was carried out as a form of concern for preventing the spread of Covid-19. Masks are distributed to road users.
"We want the community to obey this call to wear masks outside the house. By distributing free masks as a form of socialization and educational media to the public in preventing the spread of Covid-19, "he said, Wednesday (03/2/2021).
Besides distributing free masks, he continued, 3M messages were also inserted regarding the obligation to wear masks when leaving the house and always avoiding crowds and washing hands with soap or cultivating personal hygiene.
"This method is believed to reduce the risk of covid-19 transmission, especially from infected people to other people. I hope the distribution of free masks to the public will be the right education for the discipline of health protocols," he concluded.
Meanwhile, one of the motorcyclists, who did not want to be identified by the media crew, thanked the Probolinggo Police and Kuripan Police for providing masks for free to protect themselves.
"Of course this is very beneficial for us, especially in the current condition of the corona outbreak," he said.
