26 Suspected Terrorists Flown From Makassar Detained at Cikeas

BromoToday.com - JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) flew 26 suspected terrorists who were arrested in Makassar and Gorontalo to Jakarta.  Arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta, they will be detained at a detention center for terrorism in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.

 "At the Special Terrorist Detention Center in Cikeas," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono at Soetta Airport, Tangerang, Thursday (4/2).

 Rusdi explained that the terrorist group, whose name is Ihwal Pakuato, is a terrorist group affiliated with Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) which is affiliated with ISIS.

 This group, continued Rusdi, has prepared itself to commit terrorist crimes such as carrying out physical self-defense exercises then also shooting with knives and shooting with air rifles.  Not quite there, this group also has the expertise to assemble bombs.  Even preparing the bride (suicide bomber).

 "This group is planning to attack the police and continue to the official residence of the Police and the houses of officials in Gorontalo. Apart from that, they are also planning to rob several shops around Gorontalo," said Rusdi.
